From your data center to PWS Cloud

Out-of-warranty servers, aging UPS equipment and a refresh plan that keeps being postponed. Move operations to a managed environment with a monthly fee in Brazilian reais, backup and disaster recovery, with a planned transition for running workloads.

How migration works

On-premisesPWS Cloud
  1. Infrastructure and dependency inventory1 to 3 weeks
  2. Mirrored environment and data replication3 to 6 weeks
  3. Cutover window and go-live1 weekend
  4. Monitoring and decommissioning30 to 60 days

Four recurring problems with owned hardware

It is about spending less time and money on infrastructure that does not differentiate your business.

EOL

The entire estate ages together

Servers, storage and virtualization licenses approach end of life together. The refresh bill arrives all at once, every four or five years.

RSK

Recovery exists on paper

Running backups is not the same as tested restoration. Without a secondary site, a serious incident can mean days offline.

IT

Focus on the business, not the machines

Failed disks, cooling systems and firmware updates keep valuable work waiting behind the latest emergency.

TIME

Growth takes months

More capacity means quotes, purchasing, delivery and installation. Projects wait for hardware to arrive.

The real cost

What leaves your budget and what replaces it

An honest comparison considers the full cost of owning infrastructure against the monthly service fee.

Out

Owned infrastructure costs

Purchasing and refreshing servers and storage

Maintenance contracts and extended warranties

Virtualization and backup licenses

Power, UPS systems and room cooling

Redundant connections and physical space

Internal team hours spent maintaining hardware

Costs that rarely appear together in one cost center.

In

One agreed monthly fee

Infrastructure sized for your workloads

Backup with tested procedures and defined retention

A disaster recovery plan

24/7 monitoring and support

Usage, availability and security reports

Additional capacity provisioned in days rather than months

Pricing in Brazilian reais, approved before any move.

Three stages, in this order

Nothing is switched off until it is running and validated at the destination.

Inventory
and design

We map servers, databases, legacy systems, licenses and integrations, including undocumented equipment. You receive a target design and an agreed monthly cost.

Migration
in waves

We build a mirrored environment and replicate data while the current estate remains online. Cutovers start with lower-risk workloads and include a rollback plan.

Go-live and decommissioning

We closely monitor operations during the first 30 days. Only then is old equipment retired, with guidance on disposal, resale or reuse.

Solutions supporting the new environment

A complete, tailored ecosystem to support the security and operational continuity of your business.

Frequently asked questions

What businesses ask before deciding

Will my legacy system work in the cloud?

Assessment checks operating systems, databases, licensing and physical dependencies. Applications with special requirements may need adaptation or a hybrid design.

Do I need to switch off the entire data center at once?

No. Migration can be divided into waves. The old environment should only be retired after systems and agreed acceptance criteria are validated.

What about hardware I already purchased?

Existing assets are included in cost and transition planning. Reuse, temporary operation or retirement depends on each device's condition.

Will office users experience slower performance?

Latency, bandwidth and application behavior are measured before migration. Connectivity adjustments and user testing can be included in the plan.

Will my data stay in Brazil?

The location of production data, backups and recovery is defined in the contract. Share data residency requirements during the inventory stage.

What happens to my IT team?

Responsibilities are agreed in the project. PWS handles the contracted infrastructure scope while the internal team retains the agreed application and process responsibilities.
